Death:
It is the natural end of any living creature in this world (Dunia). Allah may He be Exalted said "Every soul shall have a taste of death:" Quran 3:185 (Al Imran), "All that is on earth will perish" Quran 55:26 (Ar-Rahman), While He addressed His Prophet (prayer and peace be upon him) as saying "Truly thou wilt die (one day), and truly they (too) will die (one day)" Quran 39: 30 which clearly stresses that no human being is immortal in the herein. This point was inserted directly in the Quran as "We granted not to any man before thee permanent life (here)" Quran 21:34 (Al- anbiya').

1. Death is a certain fact with no doubt, however, most people are inattentive. A Muslim is encouraged to constantly remember death in order to be well prepared. In addition a Muslim must seize every possible chance in the present life to pursue righteous deeds in preparation for the life after.
To this effect Prophet Mohamed (prayer and peace be upon him) explained in a hadith saying: "Seize five items before other five, life before death, health before illness, free time before occupied time, youth before old age, wealth before poverty) reported by Alhakem.

A dead person does not carry to the grave any of the belongings of this life except the deeds. So we advice you brothers and sisters to compile a balance as large as possible of good deeds which will certainly allow you with Allah's permission eternal happiness and rescue of torture.

2. Human being's age is absolutely unknown to anybody except to Allah. No one could realize when or where would he/she die. It is part of the unknown (Ghaiyb) except to Allah.

3. Death can not be pushed away, delayed or escaped as Allah may He be Glorified said "To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, Nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)" Quran 7:34 (Al a`raf).

4. While a believer suffers stupor of death, he/she is usually met by the angle of death in the best image spreading pleasant odor and accompanied with angles of mercy who came to bring the good news of heaven. Allah may He be Exalted said: "in the case of those who say, Our Lord is God, and, further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): Fear ye not! (they suggest), Nor grieve! But receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised" Quran 41:30 (Fussilat). Contrary to this, the non-believer meets a black faced dreadful angle of death spreading bad odor and accompanied with angles of torture brining the information of suffering. This is explained in the Quran as follows:" see how the wicked (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying), yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward, a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against God, and scornfully to reject of his signs"Quran 6:93 (Al an`am). At the time of death, truth is explicitly revealed to everyone as this point is introduced in "(In Falsehood will they be) until, when death comes to one of them, he says: O my Lord! send me back (to life), In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected. By no means! It is but a word he says. Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up" Quran 23:99-100 (Al mu'minun).

A non-believer or a sinful person wishes at the time of death to return back to life in order to pursue the correct path adopting a pious attitude. But as the term is due, regret is useless as in "For any whom God leaves astray, there is no protector thereafter. And thou wilt see the wrong doers, when in sight of the Penalty, say: Is there any way (to effect) a return?" Quran42: 44 (Al-Shoura).

5. The magnitude of Allah's mercy is unlimited. Due to this, if one was capable to say La Ilaha ela Allah just before dying shall be destined to heaven as Prophet Mohamed affirmed in a Hadith "When the final words of someone before dying were La Ilaha ela Allah shall be destined to heaven" reported by Abou Daoud. In fact it is only easy to be pronounced during this serious time for those who sincerely believe in it. While other insincere people who do not believe deep in their hearts will be distracted due to the problematic situation they face at the time of death. It is therefore a Sunna to cue a dying person the testimony (La Ilaha ela Allah).
